I honestly don't see the point in offering 5 different ways to check out using CIM. It makes no sense to me from a business point of view. I don't want to name names here, but in my opinion, the administrative cost for the accounting of 5 different payment gateways exceeds the benefits of the implementation.
It is in my opinion that any online store that offers multiple ways to pay doesn't have a rock solid payment system in the first place. So they blame their abandoned carts on the consumer’s perception of preference towards a pacticular brand or brand loyalty, and go into some sort of denial that their checkout system is weak in design. This goes far beyond offering cars in different colors.
Your checkout system projects a mental image to the customer that either represents strength and trust, or pure weakness. People just know by looking at, and will abandon a cart in 60 seconds and go somewhere else. A credit card is a credit card, and you only need one strong way to apply a charge to it. Write a program with a strong checkout, or pick one that has it already.
Less is more. Don't forget that, for it applies to many subjects across the board.
The topic of payment gateways and Merchant Processors can be quite broad in scope, so we have more information for review available below. Please take the time to visit our marketing partners.
